About The Opportunity:

In this skilled position, you will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on plumbing and mechanical systems in City owned facilities. No stranger to exercising considerable independent judgment, you have excellent time management and problem solving abilities along with a demonstrated commitment to customer service.


About Your Background:

Along with Grade 12, you have a Valid Inter-Provincial Plumbing Qualification or a B.C Trades Qualification, Technical Safety BC issued gas fitter certification (minimum Class B) and a BCWWA backflow assembly testing certification. The following would be considered assets: Valid Inter-Provincial/B.C. Trades qualification as a Sprinkler Fitter or Refrigeration Mechanic and a Technical Safety BC issued Power Engineering Certification (4th Class or higher). You have at least five years of experience as a journeyman plumber in a commercial/institutional setting along with at least two years of experience in the installation and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems. A class 5 driver's license is required. As a condition of employment, the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a clear RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status.
