About The Opportunity:

In this detail-oriented role, you will be responsible for the administration of the judicial proceedings of the detachment including quality control of all court files. You will also coordinate all court documents to Crown Counsel and liaise with the provincial and federal Crown to ensure documentation requirements are met. Further responsibilities include identifying training needs and providing training related to court matters and procedures to other municipal employees and RCMP members.

About Your Background:

As the ideal candidate you have at least five (5) years of previous experience as an operational police officer working with police investigative procedures and methods, the court system and the Criminal Code of Canada as it relates to investigative procedures or a minimum of five (5) years of direct experience coordinating criminal court documents to and/or for Crown Counsel. Preferably, you also hold a diploma in Criminology, Business or a related field. An excellent communicator, you enjoy working in a team environment and responding to customer needs. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment and possess excellent time management and organizational abilities to respond effectively to a demanding workload. We will consider candidates who may not meet the education requirement provided they meet the experience requirements.

As a condition of employment, this position is required to obtain and maintain a clear RCMP Reliability Status. A valid, full privilege Class 5 BC driver's license is also a requirement.
