About The Opportunity:

Managing the Infrastructure Planning & Engineering portfolio you will be responsible for engineering design, analysis, advice, and technical support in the management and administration of strategic infrastructure projects that inform capital and operating projects for municipal infrastructure and operational needs. You will lead, coordinate and support the development, delivery, monitoring and administration of infrastructure related plans, bylaws, policies, procedures and capital planning program. You will fluidly navigate between strategic plans and advise on private and public development and capital needs and prioritization. This position has a wide range of responsibilities to strategically align a number of initiatives and projects. You will be exposed to all stages of projects from conception to construction including investment planning, concept development, feasibility and preliminary design.

About Your Background:

We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a two year post-secondary Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology. Ideally, you hold a designation as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) (or out of province equivalent) and have completed project management courses or have obtained the Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification. You also have a minimum of five years' experience with survey, design and management of municipal construction projects. A full privilege Class 5 BC Driver's License (or out of province equivalent) is required.
