About The Opportunity:

The handling of water and wastewater is an increasingly important profession in today's environmentally conscious society. Join our safety-oriented team responsible for the Wastewater Treatment Centre's smooth operation. You will operate, inspect and service equipment, perform preventive maintenance and ensure maintenance and plant records are accurate and up to date. This is a progressive role, with opportunities for advancement.

About Your Background:

Along with Grade 12, you have graduated from a technological training program related to Wastewater Treatment and have a valid EOCP Wastewater Treatment Certificate, Class 1, at minimum (see further details below). Along with a minimum of one year of wastewater treatment experience you have an aptitude for troubleshooting wastewater treatment process and lift station problems while demonstrating a commitment to safety and teamwork. Ideally, you have a valid full privilege Class 5 BC driver's license with air endorsement (or out of province equivalent). If you have completed a program in wastewater treatment and are looking to gain hours and experience in the field consider this career-building role!

For a Level 1 Technician ($33.64 - $34.46) - A valid EOCP Wastewater Treatment Certificate, Class 1 along with one (1) year of experience in wastewater treatment or a related field. For a Level 2 Technician ($35.33 - $36.21) - A valid EOCP Wastewater Treatment Certificate, Class 2 along with two (2) years of related operating experience. For a Level 3 Technician ($37.06 - $38.00) - A valid EOCP Wastewater Treatment Certificate, Class 3 along with four (4) years of related operating experience. For a Level 4 Technician ($38.00 - $38.98) - A valid EOCP Wastewater Treatment Certificate, Level 4 along with a minimum of four (4) years of related operating experience in a Level 3 Wastewater Treatment plant or higher.
