About The Opportunity:

As an experienced journeyperson with a comprehensive understanding of light fleet, you will perform routine automotive maintenance, conduct diagnostic procedures to identify the cause of automotive issues and carry out the necessary repairs to ensure City automotive fleet and small equipment meet safety standards. Following established trade practices, the incumbent will exercise considerable independence of judgement and action in completing their assignments in a safe manner.


About Your Background:

You hold a valid Inter-Provincial Auto Mechanic Qualification or a B.C. Trades Qualification as an Auto Mechanic along with extensive automotive equipment experience. Qualified applicants have obtained the Commercial vehicle inspection program qualification (C.V.I.P.), and have a minimum of five years of experience working as an Automotive Technician, including recent experience working with electronic and computer data analysis for trouble shooting, tune-ups and adjustments. A valid full privilege Class 5 driver's license is required, as well as a commitment to providing quality customer service and working within a proactive team environment.
