About The Opportunity:

The Custodian 1 is responsible for day-to-day cleaning and minor maintenance work in a variety of facilities including low-rise offices, industrial shops and policing facilities. The incumbent must exercise initiative and independent judgment while making decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures and with limited general instructions given at the beginning of a shift. This is a physically demanding position and requires the incumbent to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.

About Your Background:

As the successful candidate, you have completed Grade 12 and have one year of related experience performing building custodial and maintenance work. You possess a working knowledge of the methods, techniques and materials used in custodial work and can confidently operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You possess sufficient physical strength and stamina to perform the required duties including minor mechanical and building repairs and are committed to customer service excellence. As a condition of employment, you must be able to obtain and maintain a clear RCMP Reliability Status. A valid full privilege Class 5 BC driver's license (or out of province equivalent) is required.
