Reporting to the Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will assume responsibility for preparing, inputting and verifying the accuracy of accounts payable data, generating cheques, performing calculations and reconciliations and completing a variety of correspondence.  You will be called upon to respond to inquiries, both in-person and over the phone, regarding the status of accounts payable items and will ensure that all vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

We are looking for a highly organized professional who has completed a college level accounting course and has at least one year of accounts payable experience including data entry.  This role is best suited to an individual who is detail oriented and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and time management abilities.  Considerable skill with word processing, Excel spreadsheets and integrated financial systems is required.

As a condition of employment the successful incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a clear Police Information Check for offenses related to the position.



This term part-time position has a starting wage of $27.56 plus a 12% in lieu of benefits.
